1 How a label is readA label is a short reading of the vendor's own sentence, never a verdict on the vendor. When a policy names gore it is labelled so; when it only names violence in general it is labelled that way instead. A field the text does not touch is recorded as not stated, and a page that could not be read is kept apart as not read, so a gap in this file never pretends to be a gap in the policy.
The labels are deliberately coarse. Two tools can share a label and still draw their lines in different places, which is why every label on a tool's page sits next to the quote it came from.
