Community guidelines and content policies
Community guidelines are rules written with other users in mind: what may be posted, shared or shown where others can see it. Below, Character App, HeyGen, Midjourney and PixVerse show how the wording varies. From 4 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.
Community guidelines are rules written with other users in mind: what may be posted, shared or shown where others can see it. In video tools they often double as the content rules for generation itself.
They tend to be the most readable document a vendor publishes, and the least precise. Where guidelines and terms both address a field, this register quotes both.

2A generator's own account
Policy wording in “Community guidelines” meets production here; SceneMixer's pages describe its side like this:
SceneMixer generates each character once as a full-body reference sheet — 9:16, plain background, directional key light, identity features written before any technical instruction — and then attaches crops of that sheet to every shot the character appears in.

The cast is generated once, at the start, as full-body reference sheets. Every segment that features a character is generated against that character's sheet, with face and body crops attached as references — so the face in episode 1 is the face in episode 40.
